Frequently Asked Questions

Guiding You to Clear Answers and Peace of Mind

I have tried therapy before and it didn’t work so why should I try again?

There are many reasons why past therapy may not have felt helpful. Readiness to engage, the therapy style, and—most importantly—the relationship with your therapist, all play a role. Finding a therapist you trust and feel comfortable with is key, so don’t give up if you haven’t found the right fit yet.

What can I expect at the first appointment?

The first appointment is an initial assessment to understand your current situation and goals. Together, we’ll create a plan for future sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hours notice is required when cancelling your appointment, otherwise you will be charged the full fee for the session.

Is everything I talk about in the sessions confidential?

Yes, everything you bring to a session is confidential. The only exception being where there is concern for your safety or for the safety of others. In such cases other professionals may become involved in your care in order to get you the additional help you need.
